As part of the Digital Product Creation (DPC) team, I specialised in 3D design and development, working across six key business units within Womenswear & Lingerie at M&S. From bras and knickers to nightwear, swimwear, and activewear, I led DPC projects that transformed the development of these categories. My role involved not only creating high-quality 3D assets, but collaborating closely with these design teams to bring their collections to life in 3D at key milestones, enhancing the creative process and streamlining decision-making.
Below is a small selection of my 3D projects from M&S - click on images to expand.
BRAS 3D
I worked closely with the Lingerie team to develop core bra collections and new ranges in 3D. For the core collections, we applied new colours and prints, for the new ranges we designed new shapes and tested various material combinations in 3D, before moving to physical sampling.
I created the first 3D garment and material library for lingerie at M&S and established all 3D standards for bras. I also developed the process for creating M&S wires and foam pads in 3D.
WOMEN'S KNICKERS 3D
I worked with the Lingerie team on developing knicker ranges in 3D. We focused on existing shapes, adding new materials, colors, and prints, as well as creating new shapes. This helped reduce the need for physical samples.
I developed the first 3D garment library and all 3D standards for knickers at M&S.
GOODMOVE ACTIVEWEAR 3D
I worked with the Goodmove Team across multiple seasons to deliver the Yoga range in 3D at key design review meetings. I was responsible for managing 3D development, asset creation & new seasonal shapes, 3D fabric development & responsible for the creation of high quality renders for design meetings.
WOMEN'S SWIMWEAR 3D
Our focus was using existing block shapes to introduce new colors and prints, which helped reduce the need for physical sampling. I managed the entire 3D development process and 3D assets I created included bikinis, swimsuits, underwired styles with and without foam pads.
WOMEN'S SLEEPWEAR 3D
I worked closely with the women's sleepwear team to integrate 3D design into the design process. By developing existing block shapes in 3D, we applied new colours, prints, and fabrics each season.
Reviewing garments in 3D at key design meetings allowed for swift decision-making and quick adjustments to style details. Additionally, we developed 3D assets for packaging labels, enabling customers to visualise the designs on labels without the need for photographing physical garments
